I am so sorry that I haven't seen this group before. I'm over 90 + books so far this year. This will give me even more encouragement to hit over 120 this year. I love mysteries, especially English ones.

Why didn't someone tell me about this group? I have always wanted to get encouragement in reading more. I must admit that I a slow reader. I could probably read 3 chapters per day depending on how interesting the book is. I am now reading a book by Danielle Steele and I am averaging 3 chapts. per day. They are short chapters though. I like the book. I am thinking that I might end up reading 25 books the most this year. Is that enought? |

For my New Year's resolution at the start of 2008, I challenged myself to read 50 books this year. This group is for anyone who wishes to take up the challenge. You can set your own start/end dates, and there's no special prize other than the satisfaction of having met the goal and the enjoyment and learning you get from reading all those books.
The books can be anything. Fiction or nonfiction. Read what you like, or use this as a chance to expand your reading horizons. It's up to you. All submissions to the group will be moderated. Book reviews/suggestions are always accepted whether you are participating in the challenge or not. Reports of personal progress on the 50 books are encouraged, as are lists of books (either read or to be read) and articles to motivate your fellow readers. Off-topic articles will be declined.
